Thanks to the Rotman School of Management and Dalhousie University, East Coast Connected is   proud to present the second annual Atlantic Business Summit on Friday, June 5, 2009 in Toronto.

This year, the Atlantic Business Summit will once again feature lively discussions, with academic, industry and business leaders examining current topics and trends in Atlantic Canada. John Risley, renowned entrepreneur and past chair of Clearwater Fine Foods and New York Times best selling author Don Tapscott will deliver the keynote addresses.

An exclusive reception will immediately follow the day’s activities.

As a bonus, all summit attendees will receive a discount for attending the Albany Club's "East Coast Sociable" being held on the evening of Thursday, June 4th.

Sail Day Agenda - Saturday June 6th

3:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. Sailing on Lake Ontario with Toronto Brigatine

With a "Sail and Summit ticket", you are invited to the Atlantic Business Summit and an afternoon of sailing.

East Coast Connected invites Atlantic Business Summit attendees and ECC members on a Tall Ship sailing experience on Lake Ontario on the day following the conference activities.  

East Coast Connected has partnered with Toronto Brigantine, a tall ship adventures operator offering sail training on its 72 foot brigantine STV The Pathfinder to offer a unique afternoon on the “high seas” of Lake Ontario.

Toronto Brigantine provides an authentic experience – be prepared to haul ropes; man the sails; climb the rigging and take the helm all under the direction of trained youth officers and Captain.
Please note, no alcohol is allowed on board the boat.

Where: Tall ship, Pathfinder will be docked at the foot of Spadina at Queen’s QuayWest.

What to bring: Closed toe sneakers, a water resistant jacket, sunscreen, hat, an extra layer (lake temperatures can be 10 degrees cooler).

About Toronto Brigantine Incorporated

Toronto Brigantine Incorporated (TBI) has been building the character of youths aged 13 to 18 for over 46 years. A not-for-profit charitable organization, sail training programs on the Great Lakes aboard the brigantines T.S. Playfair and S.T.V. Pathfinder have taught valuable life skills for generations of youth including seamanship, self-reliance, teamwork, leadership, marine navigation and piloting, dependability, and respect.
